More than half of college students self-report some kind anxiety and depression. This study reports how a university course that incorporated structured self-experience practices may reduce symptoms self-reported associated with stress strain. Ninety-eight Junior Senior were enrolled in Holistic Health class focused on “whole-person” curriculum included the exploration psychobiology stress, role posture, psychophysiology respiration. The daily self-practices awareness muscle relaxation, diaphragmatic breathing, posture awareness. instructed to apply these techniques whenever they become aware of, or experienced, sensations dysfunctional breathing during day. After 5 weeks practice, 73% reduction anxiety, 68% 27% neck shoulder discomfort, 26% abdominal discomfort; 18% discomfort 16% menstrual cramps. We recommend schools “whole-persons” self-care approach within their teach skills prevent therapists skill before beginning bio/neurofeedback.
